FAQ

WHAT IF I HAVE A CHILD IN Early childhood AND lower ELEMENTARY (1st-4th)?
AM DROP OFF
Drive through the elementary carline at 8:00 to drop off your elementary child, and then park your car in lot and enter the front of the main building and walk your child to class.
*Elementary students cannot be walked to their classroom through the building.

PM PICK-UP
If you have a child in PM Preschool, Preschool Enrichment, or Kindergarten Enrichment, park in lot first and get your child promptly in front of main building, and then enter the Elementary carline in your car.

If you have a child in PM Kindergarten drive through the elementary carline at 2:50 to pick up your elementary child, and then park your car in lot and pick up your child in front of the main building.
what if i arrive before the designated drop-off or pick-up times? Where do i wait?
Please try to not arrive before carline times begin to prevent congestion. If you do arrive early, please park in a parking space until carline opens.
What if my Jh/HS child is not ready when I arrive?
With support from staff, it is the child's responsibility to be ready for pick-up. If your child does not enter your vehicle within 30 seconds, you will be asked to pull forward and park. Your child can then safely walk to your car, or you can re-enter carline when it opens up.
What if I am a student driver with  elementary siblings?
Drive your car through elementary carline according to the prescribed times, and then park in the designated area and safely walk to the HS building.
what if i HAVE A child IN elementary AND jh/hs?
Drop off times vary for each grade level. Students in 7th-12th grade do not start class until 8:30, but can be dropped off as early as 8:00 in elementary carline at the crosswalk if necessary and wait in front of the HS building until 8:15.
What if my only child(ren) is in 5th or 6th grade?
You can exit the carline to your left before it goes behind the building and drop off or pick up your child in front of the main building. Please pull as far forward as possible to prevent a carline backup.
what can i do if cars are backed up for pick up?
If your schedule is flexible, please pass through the congestion and wait near Enchanted Forest for several minutes for the carline rush to end. Consider timing your arrival at slower times by waiting at the Park & Ride if necessary.
can i drop off my elementary child inside the building?
Parents who have an early-childhood (Pre, PreK, K) student attending that day, and an older sibling whose morning drop-off door is located inside the building (Pierce, Sorensen, and Dripps), may drop off both children inside the building. The parent may drop the older sibling off at their classroom door if their youngest child is in a downstairs classroom. Otherwise, the child may be released to walk down the stairs after entering the building before dropping off the youngest child at Room 205.

This process lessens carline traffic and provides convenience for parents already entering the building. This process does not apply to classrooms that have an exterior morning entrance door, as we value having every student greeted by their teacher at their classroom door. This process also prevents overcrowding in our downstairs hallway during drop-off.
